May 2011 CA Democrats State Convention
This year Orange County Young Democrats chartered a bus and traveled to Sacramento with over 30 members to bring statewide attention to the battle in Costa Mesa.
“What’s happening in Costa Mesa is exactly what’s happened in Wisconsin,” said OCYD Chair Nick Anas at convention, “Everyone here understands it’s an attack on California, on workers, and on the Democratic Party.”

April La Habra Citrus Fair
Did you know that the Haas Avocado, a
multi-billion dollar crop, was developed in
La Habra Heights? Neither did we we until
we teamed up with Democrats of North Orange County to staff a voter registration booth at
the La Habra Citrus Fair.

March Rally Against Hate
Orange County Young Democrats, and thousands of unaffiliated young people, spoke out against Villa Park City Councilwoman Deborah Pauly’s incendiary remarks directed towards muslims at an OC event. On March
22 hundreds gathered from around southern California to denounce hate in Orange County.
