Fellow Democrats, After the June 2010 election results of Proposition 14, elections will now follow an open primary system in which only the top two vote-getters advance, even if they are from the same political party. Because of the need for OCYD to potentially lend support to its endorsed candidates earlier than it normally would and with the California Democratic Party Annual Convention this February, OCYD has decided to consider early endorsements in select races.
